School Health Program.
OCHF visits rural public elementary schools to provide appropriate health education, weight and height monitoring, deworming and oral health program
WHO recommends deworming children living in worm-endemic regions at least once a year, and OCHF adheres to this recommendation.
School children are taught proper oral health care and distributed toothbrushes and paste through the school health program. OCHF also supported the establishment of school teeth brushing program; school children are provided toothbrushes and paste and are monitored by their teachers to brush their teeth every day at school. With this, it is confirmed that school children brush their teeth every school day and appropriately.
The school program has improved school children’s knowledge, attitude and practice of proper health behaviour.
